Recommendation: Team business planning can be a good facilitator of causing the team to work closely together and arrive at "common" goals and solutions. However be careful that a type A personality does not dominate team-planning meetings. Consider Human Resource Training and Development in the areas of interpersonal communications, leading and managing people, teambuilding/group process to facilitate greater cooperation and an understanding of each persons unique behavioral and management style.
